http://farnazk.smugmug.com/ Background I have a B.FA in photography from the <i>Art Center College of Design</i> in California. Previous to that I studied graphic design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. After graduating I moved to New York where I have worked for almost a decade as a fashion, advertising and editorial photographer. Editorial clients I have shot for include <i>Vogue, Elle, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides Magazine, Ocean Drive Magazine, Time Out</i> and others. Designers I have worked with include Lafayette 148, Manale Collection, Serafina, Yanuk, Lana Weber and Versace. <b>Visual Philosophy</b> Personally I try to avoid what I feel are the slightly overblown/over-dramatized shots found in a lot of current wedding photography. Instead I mainly try to find interesting and discrete vantage points from which to quietly catch the story of the day as it unfolds in front of me. I also love to take portraits and if you elect to have formals and portraits taken I will work to create beautiful images with richly saturated colors (which are my trademark) and natural poses. <b>Working with You<b> I understand that your wedding day is one of the most important events of your life and am happy to consult with you extensively in order to achieve the best possible coverage of your day. All my packages include a pre-wedding engagement/portrait session for you and your fiancee so that we can get to know each other.
